Steve Nash – Gilimeno EP

Alex Faltner’s Circle Music continues it’s flow of excellent releases already in 2015, with a new 4-Track EP from Berlin’s Steve Nash. Steve was originally inspired and motivated by House & Techno DJs in Eastern Germany during the 90’s and started spinning records when he was 15 years old, long before he knew how to produce music. His eternally positive attitude – his good mood reflected in his sounds and performances – means he’s always able to create a brilliant feeling and atmosphere during his DJ sessions, and studio creations and his “Gilemono EP” is no exception. He merges melody, groove and rhythm in a way that perfectly radiates the style of Steve Nash as only one of his uniquely stunning DJ sets could do.

Steve’s progressive creative attitude allows him to experiment within a non-genre specific style, drawing indluences from across the board: “Gilimeno” is a playfully epic and melodic piece of music, whilst “Cachang” takes its time to freely live out its percussive Minimal-Techno stylings over a full ten minutes, and is followed by the deeply groovy, exotic tribal sounds of “Cafe Loco”. With respected Chilean DJ/Producer Dorian Chavez (resident for 12 years at Club La Feria) completing this dynamic package with his energetic and uplifting remix of “Gilimeno”, this is a diverse musical selection not to be missed.

Founded in 2004, Circle Music stands for high quality House and Techno music. The German label’s sound spectrum ranges from groovy inspired records to tracks that capture the genuine and frenetic live atmosphere of a club-night experience. The circle in the label’s logo is a symbol for permanent progress and continuous advancement. Circle Music stands for a collective of like-minded producers, who understand themselves as an art-community, presenting musical art in a wider sense. Not only with the countless releases on 12“ vinyl, CD and mp3, but also through the club scene with showcases and parties throughout Europe and around the world.
