It’s been nearly a decade since the world was treated to new official music from celebrated rapper and pop-culture icon, Method Man. The Wu-Tang Clans most successful member is getting back to music with his new album ‘The Meth Lab,’ set for release on August 21, 2015 via Hanz On Music/Tommy Boy (Ghostface Killah, Sheek Louch). Reclaiming his seat at the forefront of Hip-Hop, Method Man just dropped the second single off his long awaited album exclusively through Consequence of Sound. The trademark raspy-voiced MC brought in Staten Island’s own Redman, Hanz On, and Streetlife for the gritty track, “Straight Gutta.” With thumping bass like a heartbeat and the confident rhythm of an old-school sound, “Straight Gutta” takes it back to the streets and revives the timeless feeling of pure Hip-Hop. The song isn’t an attack, but a warning – after almost ten years, Wu Tang’s finest is back on top and he’s still one of the illest lyricists in the game. Listen to the track here
