Loot Recordings continues its stellar form with a second release from Amsterdam’s Robin Fett…
Loot Recordings has swiftly risen through the ranks since its inception in 2014, dropping quality techno and underground house music from the likes of TRU., Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager & Robin Fett. Now the latter returns to the fold with a brand new release of pulsing tech grooves backed with remixes from Martin Landsky and label mate TRU..
Robin Fett has been building a following for his sound both as a producer and DJ, sharing the stage with the likes of ROD, Pete Tong and Marc Romboy at festivals in his native Holland, whilst garnering suport for his music from techno heavyweights including Joris Voorn and Sam Paganini.
This latest EP kicks off with titel track ‘Street Groove’, a slice of rolling techno built around rounded drums, throbbing bass and subtle melodic parts. The original then gets reworked by the prolific Poker Flat mainstay that is Martin Landsky. He strips things back and delivers a version that is deep and mesmerising.
The second original entitled ‘First Floor’ is a spacious and heads down affair that is perfect early morning tackle for discerning dance floors. This one receives the remix treatment from Loot regular TRU., who provides an open and delicate mix that brings it’s own character to bear whilst staying true to the spirit of the original.
This is another winner from Loot Recordings and the talent that is Robin Fett.
