Mysterious production duo SUB-X have unveiled their debut single ‘What You Do To Me’, out 5th November on Positiva, marking what would be Loleatta Holloway’s 75th birthday.
Breathing fresh, rave-ready energy into disco classic ‘Love Sensation’ by Loleatta Holloway, ‘What You Do To Me’ combines euphoric piano chords and fluttering synths with Holloway’s iconic vocals.
A huge dance record in its own right, ‘Love Sensation’ has since been sampled by numerous artists including Pet Shop Boys, Chase & Status, SKREAM, Sam Feldt, FISHER and, most notably, Black Box, who utilised it for their 1989 global hit ‘Ride On Time’.
A contemporary reimagining of a classic track, ‘What You Do To Me’ is the work of two anonymous production powerhouses with a very bright future ahead of them.
