Subk0de is the alter ego of Leisuregroove aka Trevor King who just happens to also be one half of the hugely successful Electronic Youth. He started Subk0de as a side project so he could express different aspects of his electronic tastes. The alias showcases more rolling, tribal, tech house beats and grooves. The first Subk0de release was a remix for London based label Sexy Trash Digital of 2 Good Souls track ‘Cool Summer’ back in 2012. With this success he carried on producing under the alias and produced a three track EP called, “Doin This”, which was snapped up Cubism immediately we heard it as it fit perfectly within the Cubism ethos. The EP was rinsed by the Cubism resident DJs at the label showcases at Fabric in London last year and went on to become one of the label’s stand out tracks of last year. It is with great pleasure we welcome Subk0de back to the label with another two superb cuts ‘Control’ and ‘Strangers’.
