Subshock ft. 3PM – Changes

Released on the 20th of April, 2015 ‘Changes’ is Subshock’s latest single featuring the talented Toledo based artist 3PM. 25 year old Spanish native DJ and producer Subshock has already been making waves within the EDM world for the past three years and this project is the next step forward in his flourishing career.

His works have been signed to world renowned labels such as: Rottun, Big Fish, Universal Music, Cloud 9, Jet Lag Recordings and Freakz Me Out amongst others. At such a tender age he has already reached top chart positions on Beatport and gained the support of A-list DJs such as: Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Skrillex, Krewella, Lazy Rick, DVBBS, Deniz Koyu, New Word Sound and Danny Avila to name a few.

His mad skills have been noticed by many, with collaborations and remix gigs coming in from the likes of: Gomad! & Monster, Eyes of Providence, Evangelos, Voltage and Sandro. His energy behind the decks has also landed him residencies in some of Spain’s elite EDM sessions, namely: Zoological Club, Life Temptation and Animals Club Zaragoza. Building on this massive success in such a short period of time, 2015 has already started in the best of ways for Subshock.

‘Changes’ is already on track to continue Subshock’s successful run as the single has featured on Hardwell’s radio show ‘Hardwell on Air’ as ‘Demo of the Week’. Moreover it already got the thumbs up from Danny Avila, Juicy M, Swanky Tunes and Delayers aside from Hardwell himself.

The forceful, phasing synth start accompanied by a heavy kick is only the beginning of an energetic journey devised by Subshock. The track builds up massive momentum before halting into a subby breakdown, characterised by 3PM’s smooth vocals. A stripped back bridge serves to create anticipation, which then resolves into a euphoric chorus before putting the vocals back in the limelight. Subshock restarts the ascension towards another powerful chorus, intensifying the EDM inspired instrumentals whilst a short breakdown delays the colossal burst into the main chorus, displaying beautiful melodies, intricate harmonies and a distinctive, punchy groove. The last chorus transcends into a dirty instrumental tract that provides a varied ending to the single. Throughout the whole production Subshock exhibits his refined sonic palette, flawless control over dynamics and hit writing abilities.

Subshock’s latest effort has now become part of Arcadia Record’s thriving catalogue. The Spanish label is certainly in very good hands, being the brainchild of acclaimed DJ and producer Jose De Mara, the mastermind behind hits like ‘Gigeri’, ‘Whatz’ and a collaboration with Abel Ramos ‘Our Kingdom’. Scouting the best new talent and specialising in mainstream sounds Arcadia Record’s efforts are definitely delivering the desired results.

With a roster growing significantly and their music already supported by elite DJs like: Tiësto, Thomas Gold, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Chuckie, Djs From Mars, Lush & Simon, Promise Land, Abel Ramos, Danny Avila and Delayers to name a few – it’s an exciting road ahead for the in demand label. Subshock is now part of the Arcadia Records family and one can only envisage many more quality releases to come in the months ahead.
