Suki Summer ‘LOVESICK AND SICK OF LOVE’ – out now!

Indie-pop newcomer Suki Summer has officially arrived with the release of her stunning debut EP, LOVESICK AND SICK OF LOVE—a six-track collection that navigates the intimate highs and painful lows of contemporary love. The project is already generating buzz for its deeply personal storytelling, ethereal production, and sharp lyrical insight.

Blending dreamy melancholia with poetic introspection, LOVESICK AND SICK OF LOVE captures the full emotional spectrum of falling in and out of love in the digital age. Inspired by artists like Clairo, Lana Del Rey, Mazzy Star, and Gracie Abrams, Suki Summer channels these influences into a sound that feels both nostalgic and boldly current.

The EP explores being lovesick—experiencing heartbreak, longing, and unrequited love—but it also explores being sick of love,” Suki shares. “It’s about my tiredness with fleeting connections and the repetitive, disheartening nature of modern dating.

Each track offers a distinct emotional vignette: opener “Summer Crush” is a sun-drenched ode to queer first love, while “Marianne” laments the fantasy of a summer romance lost to distance and disillusionment. The title track, “LOVESICK AND SICK OF LOVE,” delivers biting social commentary with airy coolness, critiquing the performative confidence and shallow intimacy of hookup culture. Meanwhile, tracks like “used to you” and “i still want u” dive into the complexity of romantic complacency and unresolved longing with aching vulnerability.

The project closes on a quietly triumphant note with “outro (it’s nvr bye it’s jus c ya l8r),” a meditative farewell that swaps dramatic closure for emotional acceptance. It’s a fitting end to a record that doesn’t promise happy endings, but rather self-awareness and growth.

With this debut, Suki Summer introduces herself as a powerful new voice in indie-pop—fearless in her honesty, intentional in her artistry, and emotionally resonant in a way that feels universal. LOVESICK AND SICK OF LOVE is more than an EP; it’s a coming-of-age soundtrack for the romantically hopeful and heart-weary alike.
