Sulene Fleming – Solo (Lenny Fontana NYC Remixes) [Future Spin Records]

Future Spin Records kick things off with a bang with a huge debut release from ex-Brand New Heavies vocalist, Sulene Fleming. Remix support comes from the excellent Lenny Fontana.

From growing up surrounded by the sounds of Funk and Soul and House to touring as the lead singer with the likes of The Brand New Heavies, Incognito and The New Master Sounds. Sulene has done it all. Now working with UK Acid Jazz group Mother Earth, Sulene teams up with Incognito’s Frances Hylton for this hugely catchy House anthem.

In original form, ‘Solo’ is the kind of joyful vocal track which soundtracks your favorite party. Jazzy bass licks and piano underpin Sulene’s soulful lyrics lamenting new love and commitment. Crisp production, a catchy vocal and the funky upbeat vibe make this a prime candidate for huge crossover potential. On remix duties, New York’s Lenny Fontana lays down a smooth groove full of disco-inspired orchestration to really make the vocal shine. He’s also included an instrumental for those times where just the groove is everything you need.
