Kevin Knapp - Survivor

American producer Kevin Knapp delivers his energetic house cut ‘Survivor’ with a remix from DJ Deeon on Hottrax this December.

Kevin Knapp’s consistent delivery of high quality, attitude influenced house music has seen releases on esteemed labels including Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations and VIVa MUSiC. Meanwhile, remixer DJ Deeon has grown from humble beginnings, selling DJ Mixtapes in Chicago parking lots, to playing a pivotal role in pioneering label Dance Mania. Kevin Knapp continues to cement his reputation within the house music scene with ‘Survivor’ on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax.

‘Survivor’ delivers a hypnotic vocal hook and dubbed out transitions which are underpinned by sharp percussion and a pulsating low-end before Chicago-based DJ Deeon’s remix delivers warped samples from the original on top of a crunchy percussive composition, distorted synthesizer stabs and a melodic bass hook to close the release.
