Swedish Wunderkinds Tobtok & Oliver Nelson drop French house cut

Multi-million streaming Swedish producers Tobtok and Oliver Nelson link up on the soulful French house cut, ’Alright’. Released via their label home, Perfect Havoc as it kicks off a series of summer-tinged singles, ‘Alright’ marks some of Tobtok and Oliver’s most polished work to date. Stream it below.

Both hailing from the city of Uppsala in Sweden, Tobtok aka Tobias Karlsson, and Oliver Nelson have been friends and studio partners for well over 10 years. They both burst onto the scene with their nu disco productions and remixes, with Tobtok signing his debut EP to the French music house, Kitsuné, while Oliver Nelson was a key artist in the boom of Soundcloud where his official remixes are still regularly clocking in the millions.

Under the stewardship of Perfect Havoc, the independent label behind the huge success of Joel Corry, together Tobtok and Oliver’s hits include ‘Something Bout The Music’ and ‘Nothing But A Heartache’, a modern revival of The Flirtations’ Northern Soul classic, signed to Decca Records.

Separately, Tobtok has generated over 600 million streams globally across remixes and productions for Joel Corry, Robin Schulz and Karen Harding to name a few. His original work includes ‘Fast Car’ – double platinum in Australia – ‘New Levels’ – BBC Radio 1 ‘Tune of the Week’, plus quality signings across Soave and Selected, with a list of supporters that includes Sam Feldt, Sigala, and Tiësto.

Oliver Nelson has also crashed through an impressive stream barrier of over 700 million globally, with high profile remixes for the likes of NEIKED, Ella Henderson, and Donna Summer. The in-demand producer collaborated with chart-topper Kygo on ‘Riding Shotgun’, and his infectious, unofficial bootleg of The Wombats ‘Greek Tragedy’ went viral on TikTok – 8 years after it was made – receiving 1.8 billion views and culminated in an official release on 14th Floor Music.

It’s well known the pair have a love of French house and that’s on display, front and centre in this latest single. After opening with a subtle male vocal, the kick drum strikes as ‘Alright’ opens into a grove-leaden, danceable cut, showcasing the matured masters at work behind the desk.

There’s lots more in the pipeline from Perfect Havoc for the rest of the year with tracks landing from Movada, OFFIAIH, Stephani B, and more. Now in its 9th year, Perfect Havoc continues to push the envelope of crossover house music and to build on over 10 billion global streams, six UK Top 20 singles and multiple platinum, gold, and silver awards.
