AJ Christou & Caleb Calloway - Sweet Senses EP

Carlo Lio & Nathan Barato’s Rawthentic drops a collaboration between Celesta Recordings head AJ Christou and Desolat’s Caleb Calloway titled ‘Sweet Senses EP’ featuring a Stacey Pullen remix.

 Two of the hottest producers of percussive house; AJ Christou has appeared on influential labels like ElRow Music, Kaluki Musik and Cuttin’ Headz, as well as helming his own Celesta Recordings imprint. Meanwhile, Puerto Rico’s Caleb Calloway – a heavyweight name in the Latin hip-hop scene – continues to impress as an electronic music artist, making appearances on labels like Desolat and Do Not Sleep, not to mention touring North and South America alongside Loco Dice.

A crunchy kick, delayed vocals and an amalgamation of synth blips form ‘Sweet Senses’, generating a hooky cut to commence the release. Detroit Techno innovator Stacey Pullen then delivers his take on ‘Sweet Senses’ utilising organic drums, plucky arpeggios and a pulsating low-end. Rounding things off, ‘Respiration’ brings a thundering bass, rapping vocals and a looped 303 synth sequence to create an acid mix to conclude the package.
