Synthesis Combines Creativity and Nostalgia in ‘Going Back To My Roots’

Synthesis unveils a Piano House single with ‘Going Back To My Roots,’ a track originally written by the Motown legend Lamont Dozier in 1977, which has since seen numerous reinterpretations: from the Richie Havens Piano House take to the Soul-Dance trio Odyssey’s, Disco-infused version, Synthesis now combines these two reworks to create their own distinct rendition, bringing in Afrobeat inspirations and the soulful vocals of Nana Genesis to offer a fresh production for Electronic Music fans of today.

A collaboration between two passionate musicians, Ronnie and Marcin, Synthesis is a project that combines forward-thinking creativity with nostalgic influences, drawing on various inspirations to reflect their journeys and showcase the innovation behind their approach. As the music offered pays homage to genres like Disco, Funk, and Soul, all while looking ahead to bring in the modernity of Electronic Dance Music, Synthesis aims to deliver a sound that resonates with both longtime fans of traditional Dance music and newer audiences alike. With this latest release, Synthesis showcases its signature fusion-based approach, resulting in a production that bridges the gap between classic sounds and contemporary style.

The track kicks off with evocative piano chordal progressions, as elevating risers, soulful vocal lines, and energetic beats join, leading into a rich soundscape where layers of expressive vocals, a dynamic bassline, and intricate percussive elements punctuate the mix. As considered production techniques add to the evolving sound of the rework, culminating in moments of tension and release, the sonic journey remains engaging, inviting listeners into Synthesis’ creative world and introducing a signature style that sees diverse inspirations converge and musical originality thrive.

A release highlighting the boundary-pushing creativity rooted at the core of the Synthesis project, this new take on ‘Going Back To My Roots’ emerges as a unique reimagining, seamlessly blending nostalgic influences with modern energy. So, a display of the collaborative effort behind the project, listen now to the Synthesis rework of ‘Going Back To My Roots’ to discover the sound that continues to define this exciting project.
