Sasse’s Moodmusic offers up another debut EP from promising new producer Arnav, featuring Allana Kajdi on vocals and two sleek remixes from Lorenzo Calvio and JC Pinto.
Dubai-based Arnav built his musical foundations on classical music, and the fluidity that comes with that education is apparent throughout his career in producing music for film, tv, fashion shows and video games. Arvan’s forays into house music are relatively recent, with his debut release ‘Running Outta Words’ on ‘One28 Recordings’ in 2014 receiving support from Maceo Plex, Martin Landsky and John Digweed.
Opening with the original, Arnav incorporates spectral atmospherics and cavernous whispers to create an ominous aura, to which Lorenzo Calvio’s interpretation adds an underlying rhythm with oscillating bass plucks. JC Pinto’s remix ups the tempo with shuffling percussion to make for a dark but more club focused feel, before moving back into sinister realms with the dub mix.
System Reset is set to release on Moodmusic on 4th September 2015.
