SYV – MYA

Fresh from putting out an assortment of hype inducing tracks and having remixed the likes of Blonde, Laura Mvula and Submotion Orchestra, SYV make a snappy return to form with the unveiling of brand new single MYA.

Barely even into their twenties, SYV is a collaboration between two producers from different parts of the UK – namely Bournemouth and West London. Having spent more time together in the virtual world than the real world but musically very much in sync, the duo have not been shy of establishing themselves as some of the freshest production talent to come out of the UK – confident, full of flair and ready to stand toe to toe alongside the best of them with the quality of their output.

Latest offering MYA is no different, opening as an R&B streaked slow jam, the pace gets quickly ramped up as the track drops and transforms into a floor filling slice of soulful deep house, carrying clear nods to the genres innovators like Booka Shade, DJ Sneak and Friend Within.

Having already been picking up support from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, as well as being DJ Target’s Targo Embergo, it is safe to say that MYA is a song that has the potential to find itself as a staple in clubs and raves alike up and down the UK.

With MYA only being a small piece of what is yet to come from the boys, it is clear that SYV are an act with plenty more to offer, fast on the road to ensuring their place as one of the future bright sparks on the UK bass music scene.
