2016's revelation, Dutch DJ/producer Mike Williams proudly presents his new single 'Take Me Down', out today on Spinnin' Records.
Mike Williams has steadily made a name for himself these last years. Initially he did this with selfmade bootlegs (including a unique version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘I Really Like You’, which scored over 3 million SoundCloud plays), followed by his first official record ‘Sweet And Sour’, gaining support from artists like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Oliver Heldens, Hardwell and Tiësto.
The latter got so excited about the track and signed it to his Musical Freedom label, meanwhile supporting the young DJ whenever he could – pulling Mike on stage during mainstage performances at Ultra Music Festival Miami and Tomorrowland. Meanwhile, Mike Williams started to tour the world himself, opening the EDC Vegas mainstage, playing at Tomorrowland and clubs and festivals everywhere.
'Sweet And Sour' turned into a huge hit, just like the Tiësto collab 'I Want You' that followed this summer. A true festival favorite, scoring over 4.5 million streams by now, gathering critical acclaim around the globe.
'Take Me Down'
And now we see Mike return to solo duty as he releases 'Take Me Down' on Spinnin' Records, a track that again leans on widespread DJ support and seems to be on everybody's lips during this week's Amsterdam Dance Event.
"I started to work on 'Take Me Down' this summer, having all those festivals in mind, but wanted to also cross it over to a wider audience. I'm really happy and proud to release it in this ADE week, looking forward to playing it live – this definitely is another crown on my already amazing year!" – Mike Williams
DJ support includes: Tiësto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Oliver Heldens, David Guetta, Quintino, The Chainsmokers, Sam Feldt, Robin Schulz, R3hab, Martin Garrix, Blasterjaxx, Felix Jaehn and many more..
