Take Note London

East London has a new music conference dedicated entirely to music students and young professionals, Take Note, fast building a reputation for pioneering content and high profile speakers. Today more panelists pledge their allegiance and details of the show planned to celebrate the closing of the first edition on Saturday 21st November is unveiled at Night Tales in Shoreditch.

Additional panelists include Kate Hutchinson (editor of Guardian Guide), Huw Owen (BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix producer), Ali Love (artist / singer, Hot Natured and Infinity Ink), Sophie Hall (manager, Locket Artists) and Thomas van Berckel of Night Time Industries Association – a new foundation set up to protect London’s nightlife. They will join speakers including Roni Size, Jimmy Napes (singer / songwriter for Sam Smith and Disclosure), Alistair Webber (A&R, Island Records), Jack Robinson (Founder of Dimensions, Outlook and Horizon Festivals) and over thirty others to complete the programme of stimulating discussions on current trends.

A series of production and technology workshops will be delivered throughout the day from DJ Yoda, Roni Size, Hodgson, Alex Arnout and Geddes in conjunction with Point Blank. These masterclasses will share insights from artists into their production process, encouraging new skill sets for the new generation and run alongside informative panels and face to face sessions as part of the Inspire Or Hire scheme, a programme offering unique internship opportunities from the likes of Resident Advisor, Hospital Records, Insanity Management and Mixmag.

To close the proceedings the after show will be held at the award-winning venture and People’s Choice Award winner, Night Tales, a 25,000 sq ft open air plot in Shoreditch. Ticket holders will have access to the special event running from 6pm until midnight where a prolific artist panelist will be performing. Combining the best of London gastronomy, experimental bar culture together with superior musical talent, Night Tales is an apt venue to follow Take Note, which itself take places in an innovative design space in East London recently featured in the Guardian.
