Locust is the first single to be taken from Telemachus’ second album ‘Telemachus In Morocco’
‘Morocco is sometimes visited by that terrible and most ancient plague, the plague of the all devouring Locust’
Menacing Maghrebian flutes are accosted by the warm incessant pound of the 808 kick-drum on ‘Locust’ – the first single from Telemachus’ forthcoming sophomore album – ‘In Morocco’.
The London-based producer relocated to the village of Mirleft in Southern Morocco for 2 months in order to surf the Atlantic and record the follow up to his debut ‘In The Evening’ – which was shortlisted for ‘Album of 2013’ by The Quietus and praised by Q Magazine (4/5).
The remix comes courtesy of Henry Wu – riding high off recent releases for 22a, Gorilla Tech and XVI Records. This one’s a no brainer – percussion heavy and dance-floor ready!
Telemachus Bio
Telemachus is a composer. His work is a mosaic of rich pastoral melodies and brutal dystopian dirges. Telemachus means “far from battle”, which reflects his peaceful nature and monastic lifestyle.
