Catalan beatsmith Piem is back with more of his explosive sounds in the form of his Temptation single with Mizbee.
Piem was last on this label a year ago when collaborating with Jay De Lys. He remains at the forefront of the underground and is a mainstay on the likes of Relief, Knee Deep in Sound and Crosstown Rebels. Next to his solid productions, he is the Music Curator at the W Hotel in Barcelona. This time out, he links with house vocalist Mizbee who has been supplying superb top lines for a decade.
The magnificent ‘Temptation’ starts with a stripped-back, rubbery groove and wonky melodic bassline. It quickly becomes a cheeky and playful track thanks to the seductive female vocal. It’s warming steamy, and as the chord stabs and jostling drums build, it’s sure to become an anthemic tune that unifies the whole dance floor.
