It was back in 1989 when soulful dance music trio Ten City (aka Byron Stingily, Byron Burke & Herb Lawson) exploded on the scene with their ‘Foundation’ album, spawning global hits such as ‘Devotion’, ‘Right Back To You, and ‘That’s the Way Love Is’. Boasting a career over 36 years, with 6 fantastic Ten City album releases, the band’s unmistakable spine-tingling lead singer, Byron Stingily, has teamed up once again with the massively talented Chi-town house producer, Emmaculate, along with a host of fresh vocalists on a stunning new collaborative Ten City album project aptly titled, ‘The Next Generation’. 

Across these 13 beautifully crafted songs, where decades of heartfelt songwriting experience meets today’s cutting edge dancefloor sensibilities, ‘The Next Generation’ comes loaded with a variety of pure soulful house vibes, where evocative vocal performances and meaningful lyrics come wrapped in lavish production and classy instrumentation. Joining Byron and Emmaculate on the project are a cast of innovative vocalists bringing their light to the project, including Mon’Aerie, El Boogie & Ric Wilson, DRAMA, D. Lylez, OVEOUS and Uneq’ka. The Ten City ‘The Next Generation’ album launch party will take place at 718 Sessions at Good Room in Brooklyn on October 12th from 6pm. Also catch them performing at the Nervous Records ADE party on Saturday October 25 at Bordello Aperitivo.
