Parker’s track ‘Pentecost’ features on his 2014 album Life on the Back Nine, the track opens with a sample of a Bible reading but it is definitely dance floor oriented. This release features three remixes one from Acts 2-1 (an alias for Terrence himself) and two from French producer Traumer. The Acts 2-1 Remix stays close to the original track, maintaining the entire style of the album that conveys the positivity of the gospel church inspired lyrics with music designed for the dancefloor than prayer or any remotely meditative state. The Traumer remix has a far darker tone, the higher pitched intense backing from the original is replaced with a deep baseline and tribal sounding drum beat, offering a different type of intensity. Traumer’s Reduced Remix is the completely stripped down version of his previous remix, there is no longer the spoken vocal, maintaining the tribal sounding drum to create a dark, techno track.
