Germany’s long-time D&B scene stalwart The Green Man (TGM) delivers his brand new solo album ‘Sound Power’ fresh for 2013. Since his Basswerk label’s inception back in 1997, TGM and his love for all things D&B and electronic has been at the heart of the country’s thriving scene, always looking for the very best this music has to offer. Now label boss TGM presents 30 of his own productions for an aural assault that takes in everything from dub, reggae, jazz, ambient, techno, hip-hop and full on dance floor, all sewn together in a mesh of rock solid drum & bass and electronica. Rolling from delicate breaks through to jungle riddims, melancholy through to raving euphoria, there isn’t an enclave left untouched as The Green Man shows us his own take on the genre, a take that’s spanned 20 years in the game. Featuring guest collaborators such as Pete Bouncer (‘I’m a Junglist’, UK Top 10 with Shut Up & Dance’s ‘I’m Ravin I’m Ravin’), MC Navigator, Demolition Man, Subz and Dizplay, ‘Sound Power’ is a hard hitting tour de force, an aural adventure from start to finish and The Green Man’s crowning glory on one of the longest reins in the drum & bass.
