Since exploding onto the scene, House sensation Louis Proud’s rise to the top of the Dance music scene has been nothing short of mesmerising. It all kicked off when Louis made his debut on Yousef’s Circus Recordings, and from there he has released on renowned labels like Ministry of Sound, He'd Kandi, Cr2 Records and Toolroom Records – not to mention multiple BBC Radio 1 plays and an inclusion in Carl Cox’s Essential Mix Live From Space Ibiza – a marvellous feat for any calibre of artist.
Up next from the Coventry based DJ and producer is his stunning take on Street Kid and SamaroPhox’s collaboration called ‘That Summer’, a release that has Ibiza vibes wrote all over it. Full of groovy beats, dark bass-lines and classic House chords that have been included in a perfectly executed arrangement, Louis’ Dub mix of ‘That Summer’ has all the necessary ingredients of an underground hit – a must have in any DJ’s record collection.
The release of ‘That Summer’ sees Louis Proud make his highly anticipated return to Casa Rossa – a partnership that has already showed signs of success. The Italian imprint is headed by heavyweight producer Gary Caos and has gained a solid reputation amongst industry professionals for consistently releasing stellar records. ‘That Summer (Louis Proud Dub)’ is out now so make sure you grab a copy in time for the Ibiza closing parties.
