London’s favourite family-friendly soul festival and great day out Summer Soulstice is back after a two year break due to Covid 19 and celebrating its 15th anniversary. Headlined by the capital’s funky dread superstars, Soul II Soul, and joined by New York’s disco band, Odyssey, alongside song birds, Hil St Soul, Lukas Setto and Incognito’s Chris Ballin, this is one of June’s hottest dates in the calendar.
Set up to ensure a very reasonably priced and quality festival day out in the capital whilst at the same time raising funds for cancer care in memory of former North London soul boy Andy Weekes, Summer Soulstice has welcomed an incredible list of headliners to its stages including Aswad, Alison Limerick (Where Love Lives), Incognito, The Real Thing, Hi-Tension, Omar, David Joseph, Mick Talbot (Style Council), Soulful Emma Louise (S.E.L) and many more.
Known for its 12 hours of soulful fun with friends and family you can enjoy Live music and DJ sets from over 30 DJs and Artists on the Main Stage and 3 arenas of music in the green surroundings of OE’s Memorial Playing Fields, Barnet. As well as the music, there’s a great little pop up village of very reasonably priced licensed bars, Pimms stalls, cocktails, food outlets, merchandise stalls, a Free kids play zone, entertainers, gazebo/picnic area as well as limited camping and car parking.
(And to top it off you can jump a ride on their handy free Soul Bus shuttle to and from High Barnet tube station on the day.)
Celebrating its milestone 15th year, this annual fundraising event in aid of Cherry Lodge Cancer Care and in memory of Andy Weekes, the Soulstice team are all about raising money with a great big smile as their provide the capital with one of June’s more intimate Festival highlights. Family friendly, safe and fun, Soulstice aims to give everyone who attends, a great day out! whilst enjoying some of the finest soulful grooves on what hopes to be a sunny afternoon and warm evening.
Guided by a quality and community ethos, Soulstice provides high quality kids activities, adequate shelter in case of rain, excellent sound systems, and a secure environment for everyone to enjoy one of the best days out in Barnet.
With all the DJs, photographers, stewards and more all donating their services tor free, this is a grassroots project giving straight back to the local area’s leading cancer charity, Cherry Tree Lodge.
Headlining this year’s Main Stage is international Grammy winning super stars Soul II Soul helmed by Jazzie B and known for their No 1 worldwide hits ”Back To Life,” and ’Keep On Moving”. Jazzie and co first carved out a niche with their gritty North London rare groove, hip hop and urban sounds through their legendary Sunday night Africa Centre sessions and as their legendary warehouse raves. This is a rare London appearance guaranteed to unite festival goers with their bass-heavy fusion of soul, hip-hop and dub.
Joining them is the legendary NYC disco group, Odyssey, behind classy international seventies hits ‘Native New Yorker’, ‘Use It Up And Wear It Out’, ‘Going Back To My Roots’, ‘Inside Out’ and ‘If You’re Looking For A Way Out’ . Helmed by one of the original founders & vocalist’ Lilian Lopez’s son Steven Collazo, their funky disco sound is even more fresh with their memorable live band,
Also looking forward to Live sets from Incognito’s singer Chris Balling, 90s song bird Hil St Street and the fast rising talent Lukas Setto, recipient of the Urban Music Award for Best Unsigned Artist and known for his breath-taking self-penned ‘You Know Me’ song.

How To Get There: Our free Soul Buses will be in service from Sat 25th11am to Sun 26th 00.30am from the Barnet Everyman & please check for full details & stop locations. Only people with valid #Soulstice2018 eTickets &/or wristbands will be able to use this service.
Tube: High Barnet (Northern Line) – approx 2 miles (3.2 kms) from the event site. Presently there are no maintenance closures planned for the High Barnet branch on the w/e of 25/26 June 2018. Our last free Soul Bus stopping at High Barnet tube station, leaves the event at 10pm.
Bus: 107 (Edgware – New Barnet Station)
184 (Wood Green/Arnos Grove – Chesterfield Rd, Barnet) –
384* (Cockfosters Station – Quinta Drive) *operates as ‘hail & ride’ on sections of roads marked H&R1 & H&R2 on the map. Buses stop at any safe point along the road. There are no bus stops at these locations, so please indicate clearly.
