Solardo are without question the most exciting house duo to burst onto the scene over the past two years. With blistering club-cuts on respected imprints such as Viva, Elrow, Snatch and of course not forgetting their recent Beatport #1 ‘Tribesman’ on Hot Creations, they now debut on Toolroom with ‘The Aztecs’ EP. With early support from Radio 1 don Pete Tong and fellow northern tech house hero Patrick Topping, this is already doing great things at underground club level.
Musically, this is trademark stuff from the Manchester based pair. Crisp, tight drums with a massive bassline and catchy, chanted vocals, expect to hear this one sang back at you at any given opportunity across dance floors worldwide. Head to the flip for an all-round tougher affair as ‘The Spot’ is driven home with a seriously tough and relentless groove.
