Felix Burnod aka The Caracal Project has quickly established himself as one of electronic music’s most unique and uncompromising artists. Originally from the south of France but now based in Paris, the young producer has a distinctly avant-garde career trajectory. His intricate and immediately recognisable sound quickly caught the attention of the bass music community with early support from the likes of Pendulum, Noisia, Habstrakt, Wilkinson, Andy C and Sub Focus, leading to standout releases with Critical Music, VISION, Hospital Records, Gud Vibrations and UKF.
A one-man production mastermind, he writes, produces, mixes, and is lead vocalist & guitarist on all of his music. With inspirations including the likes of Skrillex, Odesza and Ed Banger; he is also a huge fan of both UK indie and US rap music, with his vocal style often being likened to Alex Turner of The Artic Monkeys. You can hear these influences channelled into his production and see them in his electric live performance.
Under the northern lights. is no different, a powerful vocal tour-de-force which has been devastating clubs and festival stages over the past few months, the track is a clear testament to a producer who is intent on blazing his own trail. It’s the first in a series of singles which will lead up to a six track EP at the start of 2024 which will span every style & genre.
The single comes at a pivotal moment for The Caracal Project. Alongside a hectic touring schedule which includes DJ performances this year at Lollapalooza Paris, Printworks, Let It Roll, Nameless Festival, a debut Australia/New Zealand tour and being handpicked by Pendulum to support them at their sold out show at Alexandra Palace, he has also taken on Wasserman as his first booking agent in North/South America (home of Skrillex, Fred Again, David Guetta, Subtronics).
Moving forward he is positioned to become one of electronic music’s newest and most exhilarating superstars.
