The Cockney’tivity: A Very Cockney Christmas Story comes to the East End this December

This festive period, renowned creative production company Zebedee Productions brings a taste of Cockney life to the Christmas party season, with their one of a kind immersive dining experience The Cockney’tivity.

Taking place from 1st-22nd December in an authentic Hackney boozer, Zebedee Productions invites Londoners to Homerton’s North Star to enjoy a hearty three-course Christmas meal from croquette connoisseurs Nanny Bill’s, with an extra large side of hilarity, in the form of three short acts of side-splitting festive drama.

As guests take their seats in the pub, an alternative East End nativity will unfold around them, with appearances from Pat Butcher, a young Joseph and his up-the-duff girlfriend Mary. But it’s clear there’s more to the bump’s conception than meets the eye. As the night goes on, the conspiracy unravels, culminating in a raucous finale that will have guests dancing on the tables.

Lead actress Marianne Chase has been cast as pub landlady and matriarch, Pat Butcher, after her one woman show 'Av' A Butcher’s’ delighted crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Zebedee Productions is best known for its 2016 summertime pop-up ‘Brixton Beach Boulevard’, and also the 2015 production ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, which sold over 30,000 tickets to the Greenwich Pier attraction. Most recently, ‘The Twisted Toys Tea Party’ brought Londoners together for a night of ghoulish delights, blood-soaked intrigue and Halloween inspired drama.

Christmas dinner with all the trimmings will be rustled up by Nanny Bill’s – originally launched in 2015 to discerning foodies at London’s most popular street feast, Night Tales. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength, hosting 2017 residencies at The Shop, NW10 and and most recently, the Last Days of Shoreditch. Nanny Bill’s current home is Dalston’s trendiest basement bar, Birthdays.
