Already on the lips of artists and bloggers all over the globe, nej!las presents her newest offering ‘The Event Horizon’ – and boy does it deliver. The US based artist has rejuvenated the tired Techno scene, with a unique brand of Electro and Progressive infused bangers.
Having a musical background since the age of 8, at 18 she decided to pursue music more vigorously, and that endeavor has paid off. With media recognition and a rapidly growing fan base, nej!las has taken huge steps forwards over the last year and we can’t wait to see what 2018 brings.
‘The Event Horizon’ is an explorative, genre-blending experience culminating in two tracks of equal beauty. Describing the tracks as cross genre Tech House herself, it is obvious the amount of different influences and vibes which are at play in these tracks. ‘Harder Than Steel’ is a melody fueled hard hitter, with a beautiful helping of synthesis alongside pounding drum patterns and incremental vocals. ‘Transfixed’ showcases the more evocative and melodic side to her work, with layered arps and a powerful bass line combining with Trance synths and brutal percussion to create a dance floor smasher.
Released on the 23rd March via Teknofonic, the EP is sure to increase the reputation of this talented artist even further. Independence and originality are two of the things nej!las stands for, and this EP shows those qualities in an abundance and excites us about the future of the up and coming producer even more.
