Fans of The fin. have a reason to celebrate: their latest single, “Echoes,” has dropped, bringing a wave of serenity and introspection. Following the band’s 10th-anniversary festivities, the song marks another milestone in their evolution.
Frontman Yuto Uchino describes the track as a return to his roots. “A hill under endless stars, where the air feels alive with clarity and memory,” he recalls. The track captures this vivid imagery, blending Uchino’s smooth, floating vocals with shimmering synths and a dreamy, danceable rhythm.
The fin., formed in 2012 by Uchino and bassist Kaoru Nakazawa, has built a global fanbase, gracing stages from FUJI ROCK to SXSW. Their signature style—mellow yet profound—has drawn comparisons to some of the best in indie and psychedelic pop.
This year, The fin. will also release two 7-inch records featuring new singles, leading up to a full album in late 2025. “Echoes” serves as a powerful prelude, inviting listeners to embark on a meditative journey through Uchino’s past and their own.
As the band continues to create music that transcends boundaries, “Echoes” proves that The fin. is as timeless as ever.
