In the wake of their explosive closing performance at the X Games in Austin this past Sunday, The Glitch Mob release their new EP, ‘Piece of the Indestructible.’
This announcement came as a surprise last week with the release of single “Better Hide, Better Run (ft. Mark Johns),” which has taken the internet by storm and even received a nod from Skrillex, who included it in his weekly “Skrillex Selects” playlist.
Today, we get to hear the other two tracks – maximum velocity thrill ride “Head Full of Shadows” and the more ethereal closer “The Clouds Breathe For You,” both of which are brought to life by abstract, volcanic videos that capture the enigmatic, awe-inspiring vibe that only The Glitch Mob can create.
Created at the group’s respective home studios, this EP is spontaneous and raw. “If anything, this was less calculated than LDI. We were just letting it come out,” say The Glitch Mob. “It’s like a splattering of all we soaked up while on tour.”
