The London Music Conference 2018

The first ever London Music Conference aims to share knowledge, build community and promote and unearth a wide range of creative talents.

It takes place across multiple leading venues from October 11-13th and will educate on, engage with and explore a wide range of dance music topics via a series of networking events, discussion panels and parties featuring the industry’s most esteemed professionals from around the world.

In all, there will be more than 30 conference sessions, 15 label showcases, 45 events, 450 delegates, 60 speakers and 50 content partners on hand to provide an all-encompassing experience and education on a range of topics. Genuine insight will come from people who know their industry inside out and back to front, there will be chances to explore new music and discover new artists, behind the scenes stories and much more besides.

LMC will be a fantastic 360-degree exploration and examination of dance culture and how to succeed at it, and topics will include Secrets to Success in booking, promoting and managing stars, Using Brand Partnerships To Power Music, artist meets, inspections of the London clubbing landscape, education and development of young producers, Equality in Dance Music, Masterclasses in Mixing and much more.

Says LMC Director Sam Speaight, “It is the power of community, of shared vision, of a shared love for the creative experience of music that is at the core of London Music Conference.”

LMC takes place across eight of the capital’s most celebrated venues, and each one will host conferencing, networking and showcases. They include Oval Space and The Pickle Factory, Birthdays, VFD, Moustache Bar and UNDR (fka The Nest), while Ministry of Sound and Egg London are also involved for a series of evening events.

Brands involved include Beatport, Broadwick Live, Google Daydream, Relentless, Your Army Management, Lock ’N’ Load Events, Jägermeister, and Bradley Gunn Raver, while special guest speakers include dub legend Mad Professor, Broadwick Live’s Mark Newton, Ministry of Sound’s Booking Manager Nikki Gordon, journalists like Duncan Dick and Charlotte Cijffers, plus Stuart Knight, Paul Nickeas and MN2S’s Dave Alcock, with many more to be announced.

“Why act in isolation,” continues LMC Director Sam Speaight, “struggling against one another to scratch out and guard our own little patch of dirt, when instead we can come together and co-exist be empowered to create better business, better culture and better music?

London Music Conference is a convergence point for this idea, and hopes to facilitate the fostering of cooperation, co-existence and community within music and the music industry on an international scale.

As the conference evolves we hope that its growth will fuel an ever increasing empowerment of the artists, fans and professionals in the UK music space through the power of community and co-creation.”

Further details will be announced in the coming days, but already London Music Conference is shaping up to be an essential date in the diary of anyone involved in the dance music industry. There is no other event which combines all aspects of conference, networking, showcases and the capital’s great venue landscape in this way.
