For The Nest 6th Birthday celebration, they're taking things back to original 80s rave culture with an ode to breakbeat and hard-core; 6 hours filled with acid & hedonistic sounds to bring in their 6th year.
A highlight of the night comes in the way of a rare all out hardcore set from Poly Kicks' honcho, Tessela. Breaking the mould with heavy hitting production ‘Hackney Parrot’ back in 2013, his continued worship of his rave forebears has kept him in a realm of his own in the dance music world. His ode to hardcore will utilise The Nest’s mammoth sound system in all the right ways on Friday 7th October.
We trace the scene from old school outfit and breakbeat originators 2 Bad Mice through to the pioneer of its modern resurgence with Paul Woolford’s bass infused alias, Special Request.
The Nest's Birthdays have become somewhat iconic, offering up a line-up of titanic proportion in the intimate club space of their Dalston basement – we cannot wait for this one.
