Various Artists - The Selador Showcase – The Fourth Dimension (part 2)

Hot on the heels of it's elder sibling, we're very happy to now bring you the second volume of this thrilling two parter. Seven more dance floor delights from the Showcase treasure chest.

Label boss Steve Parry gets proceedings underway with the Luna'. He's notoriously fussy, and doesn't release much music, so We're delighted he stopped being such a pain in the butt and gave us another he was happy with. 'Luna' is a hommage to his Liverpool based occasional parties, and here fuses housier elements with plenty of drive, some big stabs, and his hallmark slice of acid for good measure. Its a biggie!

The legendary Jaydee then weighs in with Basemento'. A bit of a coup for Selador, as his releases are probably rarer than Steves! Here we find a throbbing bass driven peak time slab of mayhem that will have you gurning like a good un in no time. He's taking no prisoners here thats for sure.

Another dance music legend is next as Wally Lopez drops Focused'. This may raise a few eyebrows as is a bit of a left turn from Wally's recent productions. Here he shows his dark side, and we are more than happy to see this from the Spanish musical maestro. Melodic and punchy, but with a serious kick.. Don't say we didn't warn you!

Label favourite Joal returns with 'Eskimo'. Trippy, bubbly, and a bit of a swagger here from the Berlin based Portugese DJ and producer. An underlying arp line comes in to its own, as a bit of head melting and uplifting feature here. Quirky and cool as always from this fine producer.

Another Selador debut here, as SQL lands a floaty yet ballsey gem in the form of 'Pheonix'. The Dutch gent has been on our radar since we began, so we were delighted when this winner landed in our musical laps. Tinkling infectious melodies are order of the day here, but with a moody tinge off setting the niceties.. in the nicest possible way.

Ibizan based Alice Clark perked our ears right up when we heard 'Chaser (Six.AM Remix)'. Groovin; and funky, and a bit of a retro underground house feel, yet still sounding ultra fresh, and is super cool. This has been road tested by us many a time and delivers the goods big time.

Rounding things off is Punu. His good friend Andre Hommen suggested we should sign this track 'The Story', and he knew us well, as we love it! Some skippy beats, reminiscent of Black Coffee meet a cacophony of warmth and mystery in equal measures. Cool as a cucumber.

It’s a big welcome to 2017 Seladorian style. The shape of things to come.
