Maidstone local Nic Fanciulli’s Kentish festival picks up first of awards in newly minted category for it’s third year, at prestigious ceremony.
Looking ahead to a Winter event and a triumphal fourth year in 2016, The Social have emerged triumphant from the annual DJ Mag Best of British Awards as the Best Boutique Festival. Counting themselves amongst previous festival award winners such as SW4, Global Gathering and Bestival, The Social has rose in the ranks to a well deserved spot after recently celebrating its third anniversary. Boasting lineups featuring Carl Cox, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Tale of Us, Loco Dice and Joris Voorn without a peak in sight, it is clear how this fresh, techno-focused brand would win DJ Mag’s newly minted merits.
Based in Mote Park and spread across the seasons into it’s Winter soiree, the team now prepares for The Winter Social after making the final touches to the bill. Steve Lawler is now scheduled, whilst Eats Everything will go B2B with Yousef amidst the picturesque, once secluded settings of Kent County Showground. These special guests and move-makers set work in motion toward February, where after festivities the Anti-Social after party makes its London debut. With one-way travel offered to those festival goers counting themselves in for a colossal finale, Building Six hosts a lineup of four Social acts to follow.
The Winter Social takes place 6th February at Kent County Showground in Maidstone, with acts announced including ÂME, Eats Everything, Adam Beyer, Nina Kraviz and more.
