Introducing The Social, a brand new boutique day festival showcasing the world’s greatest dance music acts in the picturesque location of Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent. Launching on 28th September 2013, The Social promises to close the Summer in style, bringing a taste of Ibiza to the south east of England with a line-up of the world’s most discerning electronic music talent. Featuring a host of global heavyweight DJs such as techno pioneer Carl Craig and Germany’s finest Loco Dice, through to the cutting edge sounds created by Berlin-based duo Tale of Us and Detroit techno mastermind Seth Troxler, The Social looks set to be an incredible day of electronic music, right in the heart of Kent.
Located a stones throw from London at the beautiful Mote Park (formerly the location for Radio One’s Big Weekender 2008) The Social is brought together by Saved Records and Events, the independent music label of renowned house and techno DJ Nic Fanciulli. Maidstone local Nic has been bringing credible dance music to Kent over the years through his much-loved Saved parties. Wanting to push boundaries and continue to share his love and passion for dance music with the local community, The Social is the next step and natural progression for Saved events and an extremely exciting project.
“I’ve always loved the idea of curating a boutique music event in my hometown, and I’m really excited to be welcoming some of the most renown international artists to Kent with this event” says Nic Fanciulli.
In addition to the carefully curated line-up, an acute emphasis will be placed on the local community and The Social aims to source locally produced food on site and involve nearby universities with creative aspects of the festival. Set on building an intimate feel, the the event will have three arenas for revellers to enjoy as well as fun fair rides and a market stalls. For those wanting a VIP experience including fast track entrance, exclusive DJ sets and luxury bathrooms tickets are available at £60.
In addition to The Social, a family-friendly day festival has been confirmed for Sunday 29th September with the legendary soul and funk outfit Earth & Wind Fire, American four piece Sister Sledge andiconic 80’s soulful group Brand New Heavies.
