Rich Wakley - The Wolf Of Old Street EP

This September sees Leftwing & Kody’s Lost Records welcome three propulsive house numbers from Rich Wakley complete with a remix from German producer Kevin Over.

Wakley has seen much success in his endeavors over the past 15 years. His releases have landed on labels such as OFF, Resonance Records, Definition and Mile End, whilst as a DJ he has performed at some of the world’s leading venues and festivals like Tresor, Space Ibiza, Burning Man, Sonar and Exit. He’s also been running the well-established Respekt Records since 2009 – a further testament to his multifaceted and accomplished role within the industry.

Firstly, ‘The Wolf Of Old Street’ is backed with filtered percussion and wailing vocals whilst a sultry bassline accompanies lively snares. ‘I Need Substance’ then utilizes soft organ synths to deepen the mood, before ‘Truffle Shuffle’ returns to a heavier dancefloor feel as a female vocal operates on top. After appearing recently on the Lost Summer compilation, Kevin Over steps in to remix ‘Truffle Shuffle’ by adding metallic electronic sequences to create a slightly more disjointed piece.

The 4 track EP is set to drop on Lost Records on 28th September 2015.
