Australian DJ/producer Throttle has signed an exclusive deal with Spinnin' Records. It marks another milestone for the 19-year-old artist, currently scoring a major hit tune with 'Money Maker', premiered on BBC Radio 1 this week, coming out on Spinnin' Records in early May.
Melbourne based Robbie Bergin has been working his profile for quite some time already. Kickstarting his Throttle persona at the age of 15, he quickly gained a solid fan base with his early productions. This included his highly popular 'Dirty Disco' podcast, by now a trademark sound for the young, uprising DJ.
Recently Throttle scored impressive hits as he reworked Earth, Wind & Fire's 'September' into a cool, dirty disco DJ tool approved by the band themselves, followed by a collaboration with house honcho Oliver Heldens, resulting in 'Waiting', released on Heldens' own Heldeep imprint, supported by a wide range of artists.
Spinnin' Records
By now, Throttle is considered the next big thing in dance music. He is being pegged as Spinnin Records’ next prodigy, following in the footsteps of Afrojack, Martin Garrix and Oliver Heldens. Delivering an exciting, new house sound, known for his uplifting live performance – young Robbie's DJ persona seems to be on everybody's lips. Including Spinnin' Records, the Dutch dance label known for picking out the best young rising stars, that quickly signed Throttle to exclusively release his music on its main imprint.
'Money Maker'
This is kicked off with 'Money Maker', an invigorating dirty disco track, characterizing Throttle's trademark sound like no other. Money Maker is already being predicted by many as the summer anthem of 2016, with early support from Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens and the Chainsmokers to name a few. No doubt you'll be hearing this song everywhere. The record is set for release on Spinnin' Records on May 6th, and was premiered by BBC's Danny Howard earlier this week
