Hotly-tipped British electronic duo TIBASKO continue their momentous 2024 with the uplifting new single ‘U Know Me?’, out 21st June on [PIAS] Électronique.

Having recently kicked off a new era after signing a new record deal with PIAS, ‘U Know Me?’ sees TIBASKO crafting an uptempo cut with euphoric vocals, pulsating breakbeat and 90s rave influences.

The effortlessly crowd-pleasing ‘U Know Me?’ is an uplifting electronica banger built around exquisite vocal samples that bury themselves in the brain. It’s exactly the type of otherworldly cut we’ve come to expect from TIBASKO, bubbling with synth melodies and reverb-soaked atmospherics.

“This record was born out of our love for creating emotive, forward thinking electronic music.” TIBASKO explain. “The production came together concisely as we were listening to the likes of Narciss and DJ Heartstring. We wanted to make that harder house beat, but while keeping the emotional aspects and feelings that we always put into our music.”

Kicking off a big summer 2024, the group recently debuted their TIBASKO live hardware set at The Great Escape in May, closing their performance with ‘U Know Me?’. The talented duo are set to host their own stage at Brockwood Festival in July, in partnership with Save Our Scene. They have also curated a pop up event in their former hometown of Welwyn Garden City, in a new open air culture hot spot on Saturday 1st June – which featured sets from Sam Girling, Meg Ward, Duke Boara and Oscar Farrell – and recently announced a show at KOKO on 5th July with Jacques Greene and Laurence Guy.

‘U Know Me?’ follows the recent breaksy techno banger ‘Snif n Snüf’, which was the duo’s first single since ‘Freedom (In Ur Mind)’, released late last year following a hectic summer of festivals including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, as well as a supporting slot on Elderbrook’s Little Love tour. Since then, they’ve also completed their ‘Lady Godiva’ UK Headline tour, released remixes of ‘Freedom (In Ur Mind)’ by MAFRO and Kiimi, and contributed their own remix of recent Golden Features track ‘Hound’.

Ken Petalcorin and Andy Bowden, known as TIBASKO, are establishing themselves as one of the UK’s leading breakthrough electronic music artists. Their signature sound and dynamic performances have taken them global, paving the way for an electrifying ascent as a mainstay artist.
