Following the unprecedented chart success of crossover anthems ‘Red Lights’ and ‘Wasted’, Tiesto is back to present the third single from his critically-acclaimed full-length album ‘A Town Called Paradise’. Now well versed in the art of mastering high-end dance music production, it’s a track that follows a similar formulaic blueprint to an LP that’s already boasted two UK Top 10 hits and with it, Tiesto’s two highest ever chart placings.
Constructed around a powerful, heartfelt vocal from DBX, ‘Light Years Away’ transmits all the euphoric energy fans have come to expect from Tiesto, although offers a new-found and tangible emotional depth that has grown to define his contemporary output. Delicate piano harmonies and bubbling melodies provide an excellent foil for DBX’s voice to take centre stage through the track’s early stages, before explosive bass and trademark, dancing synth lines see Tiesto craft another wonderfully balanced slice of chart-focused dance music.
Alongside the release, fans can get their hands on epic reworks from Skyden, Oliver Heldens, Tiesto & Moti and Hey Hey.
With ‘Red Lights’ and ‘Wasted’ peaking at #6 and #3 on the UK Singles Charts respectively, Tiesto’s music has already started to carve out it’s own space this year and new single ‘Light Years Away’ feels ready to make chart headway in similarly impressive fashion.
