Düsseldorf’s Tim Kollberg returns with a new dancefloor weapon, ‘Acid Break’, teaming up with fellow rising producer Ziggy V’Niles for a track that surges with high-voltage techno energy. Relentless rhythms paired with classic acid synth work create a sound built for peak-time moments in the underground rooms.
It’s a combination of fierce intent and hypnotic chord stabs, all this laced with a reverberance soaked with tension. It’s a heady blend celebrating the roots of techno in the 21st century, twisting and evolving but centred around the same repeating movement.
He shares, “This release actually came together through shared hashtags on Soundcloud, where I discovered Ziggy V´Niles and his style. After listening to his productions multiple times, I realised that we embody the same musical spirit. I immediately contacted him, presented my sound, and we quickly found a collaboration. Initially, my idea was to capture the track in its entirety with subtle yet concise acid lines. Through the skilful groove that Ziggy brought, which is very close to RAW techno, we were able to create a commonality in the track.”
Known both for his own dynamic sets and the founding of community-focused Nightlight Sessions, Kolberg is seeking to put himself at the heart of Europe’s techno scene.
