Popscile - Time Machine EP

Opilec Music is proud to present a new three track EP from Italian brothers Popscile.

Made up of Matisse, who started out as a DJ and worked at influential Piemont label and studio DDE, and Jorilla, who has real technical skills and a history rooted in hip hop, they launched this project in 2016. Inspired by the Scandinavian disco scene, they already released ‘Wormhole’ on this label’s We Are Opilec Vol. III last year receiving support from Lindstrom amongst others. This new EP comes with special artwork by label collaborator Lodsb and is another stellar affair.

Up first is the lush ‘Stellar Ascension,’ a fresh and dazzling cut with big drums designed for the floor. Riddled with warped bass and glowing keys, it is as cosmic as you like and brims with interstellar energies that will carry you away.

The excellent ‘Feel Good’ will make you feel just that: it is a deeper number than the first and has some steamy vocals stitched into the ever-building groove. Withering sci-fi chords, pixelated lasers and tons of effects all add real character to the track and ensure it is as authentic as any Scandi-disco tune out there.

Last of all, the splendid ‘Time Machine’ carries you away on a dreamy cosmic cloud with space dust explosions, shooting synths and funky drums all bristling with delicious disco life.

This is a fulsome and fantastic disco package that is imbued with a real sense of history and will be forever timeless as a result.

Tracklist:

01 Popscile – Stellar Ascension
02 Popscile – Feel Good
03 Popscile – Time Machine
