Timmy Trumpet turns a musical corner with new single ‘Just In Case’

One of dance music’s biggest phenomena, both live on stage as in the studio, Timmy Trumpet has worked his way to being one of dance music’s most in-demand acts. The Australian DJ/producer/live instrumentalist scored numerous early hits, including massive festival tunes such as “Freaks,” “Party Till We Die” together with MAKJ and Andrew W.K., “Oracle,” “Punjabi,” “Rockstar” and “PSY or DIE” along the one and only, Carnage.
In recent years, however Timmy Trumpet has truly evolved his sound to new highs. His 2020 debut album Mad World struck a fitting chord with his worldwide audience. Its title track, a collab with Gabry Ponte, has by now crossed the 80 million Spotify streams, while other tracks like “Up & Down” (together with the infamous Venga Boys) and “Paul Is Dead” (a collab with another legend, Scooter) also scored tens of millions of streams. Since then, he’s continued to follow up with highly successful streaming hits, including solo effort “Cardio” and the popular Gabry Ponte and R3hab collab “Call Me,” perpetually dropping the right tune for the right time.
And now, as the world (and its festivals) are opening their doors again, Timmy brings another more fitting soundtrack with “Just In Case.” The single opens with delicate vocals, accompanied by little more than subtle percussion to set the stage.
