Veteran Italian DJ, Alex Costa has brought his production expertise to STATIC once again, with 'Titan'; a slow building acid techno cut.
'Titan' begins with a muffled and subdued kick sound, with the crackle of vinyl hovering above it in the mix as the signature acid line slowly filters in. It’s around this motif that the whole track builds, the arrangement rising, falling and building; all whilst accompanying the main motif. Sitting at almost 6 minutes and maintaining its rhythm and movement throughout, 'Titan' is a lesson in what can be done with a 303-style acid line.
Born in 1979 and known for his unique sound and distinctive works, Alex Costa has become a regular on top charts and producers set lists alike. Already having releases on top labels such as, Intacto, Bitten, KD Music, Terminal M, Alchemy, ToolRoom, Aella, Time Has Changed, Stereo Productions, Pacha, Alleanza, Alex is showing no sign of slowing down. His sound is a mixture and influences of genres such as techno, tech house, house, funk and tribal music. Costa’s original tracks and remixes have been played by international DJs from around the globe
