Pig & Dan’s ELEVATE label is proving to be one of the most exciting young labels of 2014, with a flow of seriously excellent releases from the likes of Dema, Kane Roth, Jay Tripwire, and (of course) Pig & Dan themselves. Now, hot on the heels of the boys’ tasty “Seagulls EP”, comes a blinding two-tracker from Belgium’s ever-excellent Tom Hades.
“Sparkles” fizzes with Tom’s trademark energy from the off, exhibiting that timeless ethereal life force of the best techno out there. The hypnotic melodic beauty of “Theory” joins the dots from the legendary birthplace of futuristic genius – Detroit – as Tom Hades executes his art with pure passion and insightful creativity, showing exactly why he is such an interesting creative force within the global techno community.
Tom is currently looking back on a busy and successful 2014. After presenting his debut solo artist album “The Missing Touch” (Rhythm Converted) at ADE 2013, he embarked on an album world tour that lasted a full year. From Japan to Brazil and from Belgium to Moscow, there are now few places he hasn’t played. New friendships were made, old friends reunited and creativity flowed at every gig.
With that creativity has come new ideas, where ‘focus’ is a key word. Tom wants to have more time for producing in the studio, for collaborations, exploring new musical ground, focusing on exclusive labels and creating a new album. Pig & Dan’s ELEVATE is the first label in line for some exciting new material, having been honoured by great feedback from Dan, “Sparkles” and “Theory” quickly found their rightful home. Enjoy!
