TOM MISCH - TOM MISCH – Sunshine

Tom Misch shares new track Sunshine, premiered today on Majestic Casual and also announces his summer festival DJ dates.
 
The prodigious 19-year-old singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from South East London has grown a loyal fanbase following a string of releases on his own label Beyond The Groove, his Out To Sea E.P with Carmody, a white label release on hip-hop label Soulection, collaborations with the likes of Loyle Carner, Bearcubs and reworks of Mos Def and Busta Rhymes.
 
Sunshine glistens with ambrosial melodies and austere instrumentation and is free from the constraints of perfunctory pop structure. As a track it is vivid and lurid, thrilling yet introspective and sees Tom laying his songwriting gifts bare in their purest form.
 
 South East London is proving itself to be the music mecca of 2015, brimming with young artists that refuse conventional wisdom and the cyclical churn of style and genre and Tom is at the very centre. Tom’s music finds the sweet spot between electronica, hip-hop and acoustic, which has resulted in numerous Hype Machine #1’s and has found him an eclectic array of supporters – from one of YouTube’s biggest dance music channels, Majestic Channel, to the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1.

Tom is currently finishing Beat Tape 2 which will feature a host of collaborations with the likes of Loyle Carner, Jordan Rakei, Carmody and many more due out this summer. A live show is also on the horizon along with a solo E.P which will be released later in the year on his own label once again.
