In the midst of his most successful year to date, progressive house maestro Tom Swoon looks set to crank things up yet another notch, as he unveils his brand new single ‘Holika’, out July 7 on Ultra Music.
First premiered on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 show in mid-June and having already received support from the likes of Nicky Romero, Deniz Koyu, Cosmic Gate and Dash Berlin to name but a few, ‘Holika’ is the next step in the rapid development of the Polish superstar, and marks what is bound to be another monster release for him on the Ultra Music imprint.
Having travelled to India for the first time back in 2012, Swoon became fascinated by the country and its way of life. Named after the demoness in Hindu mythology, ‘Holika’ originally harks back to a mythical tale of good triumphing over evil, and with this new release, Swoon decided that he too would try to conquer a whole different problem and one he came across all too often – child poverty.
With the ‘Holika’ celebration and a new India tour coming up, Tom and his management will donate €2 to the SMILE Foundation in India per every Beatport receipt they receive for ‘Holika’. All you have to do is buy the track and email your receipt to ch*****@*************ts.info.
Steaming with diminutive details, Swoon’s faultless production certainly resonates with this theme, jam-packed with sharp piercing synths, vigorous drum work and a chaotic drop that is complimented perfectly by the exultant Eastern-influenced chants throughout.
From here, all roads lead to arguably Tom’s most important gig to date – Tomorrowland. Set to play on the Super You & Me Stage on July 26, Swoon will then take his show on the road worldwide, with dates in the USA, Central America, Europe and more all on the horizon. Don’t miss out!
