Dance music stalwart and influential producer Tommie Sunshine makes a huge return in the shape of a brand new collaboration with protégés Halfway House – Tommie actually debuted this new collaboration on the main stage at Ultra in March, bringing out Halfway House to announce it. ‘Shake That’ is released on June 30th via legendary New York based imprint Ultra Records.
‘Shake That’ is true to form from the house music pioneer Tommie Sunshine, seeing him release his trademark bass laden loops and vertigo inducing drops on unsuspecting sound systems. Recruiting long time collaborators Halfway House and DJ Funk, the end result is a dance floor behemoth, as fitting to a club environment as it would be a festival main stage.
Chicago based producer Tommie Sunshine needs no introduction. Known not only for remixing popular rock bands such as Fall Out Boy, The Killers and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs to name but a few, but also for writing for the acclaimed Huffington Post the DJ and producer has performed at festivals around the world, as well as main stage at Ultra Music Festival three years running. Combining his skills with Halfway House and DJ Funk the artists have created a huge festival anthem set to storm the stages this summer.
