Cubism co-founder Tony Thomas returns to the label with a three track EP ahead of the release later this year of the follow up to his album ”21st Century Dub” which was originally released on Soma at the beginning of the last decade. Tony has electronic music flowing through his veins. Releasing over 2,500 tracks spanning a 20 year career and under a plethora of other aliases traversing a bewildering array of styles and genres, it’s amazing that he has only ever recorded one album under his own name. ”22nd Century Dub” will appear on Cubism towards the end of this year, keep an eye out for more news.
This EP showcases three peak time tracks, ”Groin Slap”, ”Green Revolution” and ”Give It Some Welly”. All are aimed at the more discerning underground floor and have a firm grip on the groove, peppered with twisted sounds and vocal snippets, each track is impeccably produced by one of the originators of the tech house sound of the late 90’s and early 00’s whilst keeping a keen eye on the future.
