Fans of high grade techno weaponry will be well into this new EP on Opia Records. The label is going along at a nice rate and has been impressing wth each new EP and now does so again thanks to the fine work of Italian pair Dandi & Ugo. Their one great original is backed with remixes by Konstantin Yoodza and Jill Bellac & ASI and is perfect for dark dance floors everywhere.
In original form the track is a brilliantly heady, hypnotic roller with subliminal bass and slick hi hats. Synths colour the groove and add a real sense of intrigue as the groove unfolds. One for backrooms and basement, it is a well produced and captivating cut, to be sure. The remix from Jill Bellac & ASI is more house in nature. The kicks are lumpy and bumpy and the groove rocks back and forth on its toes.
Jailing melodies and curious pads all flesh it out and make for a cool atmosphere. Lastly, Konstantin Yoodza roughs up the groove with his raw textures, more intense rhythms and frazzled synths. Overall this is a great and varied package that cannot fail to get floors moving.
