Gaist - Traction

Gaist are a UK based techno duo specialising in hard hitting dance floor ready techno. United by a passion for driving rhythms behind the darkest techno, the pair have already taken their inimitable sound across the globe and in the process have caught the attention of some of the scene’s biggest and most revered names.

'Traction' is their first release on Static, and it kicks off instantly with an industrial percussive beat, steadily driving and building in intensity as more layers of cavernous hits and drum samples fill the space in the mix. Sitting at just under 7 minutes, there’s plenty of time for Gaist to flex their production skills, intricately weaving the layers of synths and samples in and out of one another, adding dark bass stabs and plenty of atmosphere to boot.
