TroyBoi Releases ‘Dhunga’ ft. Toxic Rob

Out now, Dhunga marks the first single to be taken TroyBoi’s upcoming ‘4 ON DA FLOOR’ EP, due in July 2024.

One of the industry’s leading purveyors of bass-heavy electronic music, TroyBoi is an artist committed to pushing the envelop in each and every aspect of his creative output. The mastermind behind a string of internationally celebrated releases on leading labels including Virgin, Interscope, Mad Decent, OWSLA and his own T Dot Music imprint, TroyBoi now continues his remarkable run of first rate studio form with the unveiling of his latest original house single, ‘Dhunga’.

The first single to be taken from his forthcoming ‘4 ON DA FLOOR’ EP due this Summer, ‘Dhunga’ serves up two and a half minutes of warped bass, groove-inducing rhythms and slick vocals, as the now-Miami-based artist captivates listeners with his instantly recognisable sound palette and energetic flair. Teaming up with US vocalist Toxic Rob, who delivers on his own brand of hip hop-inspired vocals, the record’s throbbing basslines and syncopated rhythms make for a highly infectious listening experience and provide a bona fide taste into an upcoming run of new music over the course of 2024.

Speaking about the single, TroyBoi commented:

“This is the first single from my upcoming project ‘4 ON DA FLOOR’ which explores my admiration for house music, but with my twist. Toxic Rob’s cheeky charismatic vocals on ‘Dhunga’ really complement the percussion driven production. It’s a fun record intended to make people get down on the dance floor, especially when that dirty bass hits”.

Combining elements of future bass, trap, house, hip hop and dubstep into his diverse catalogue of hard-hitting productions TroyBoi has earned a enviable reputation as one of the most prolific artists in electronic music over the course of his decade-long career. Known the world over for his unique energy and standout live performances, the British DJ and record producer has forged a unique trademark all of his own; one which is as formidable as it is diverse. Pairing powerful sound design with highly infectious motifs, his musical output is continuously developing as he adds new textures and layers to his globally renowned hallmark; pushing his own creative boundaries each step of the way.

On the live front, the release of ‘Dhunga’ comes ahead of a huge run of confirmed shows for TroyBoi in 2024, who looks set to ignite some of North America’s most revered festival stages and iconic venues with his unrivalled performance energy. From EDC Las Vegas and Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge to HARD Summer, Red Rocks and EDC Orlando, there’s no doubt that 2024 is shaping up the biggest year of TroyBoi’s career to date.
